Lionel, Anne and Scupper - Freedom is barely visible over Lionel's shoulder.
The boys walk the Baja 500 trail.
Apparently the tender wanted to go back out and got tired of waiting for the boys to take her. Kevin snacks while Jonathan swims.  Mom and dad had a good laugh at this one.  Someone once said, "If your ship doesn't come in, swim out to it."
Moving North - August 2007
             Entering Long Beach Harbor
            Catalina Island - June 2008
Jonathan, now living in St Thomas USVI, when not driving an oil tanker in the ocean,  flew in to surprise his dad for Lionel's 70th.  Resting in the main with a beer, Jonathan  made Lionel think he was seeing things!
The Freedom Boys back together again - Kevin, and Jonathan  enjoy the ride to Catalina Island.
En route to Catalina February 2010
Jonathan tries on Scupper's sun glasses.  They certainly look better on the dog!
The crew change in Cabo - full moon, fireworks, great meal and swings for the children!
Lattitude 22 - Greata food and Croatian owned!
Our anchorage in Cabo - slips were over $200 per night - this was free!
Altata - Don't go in without a guide -  (Charlie was ours) treacherous sand bars and breaking seas - high highs and low lows - impoverished, but gracious!
Our guide out - between two narrow sandbars with breaking seas - we were in barely 6 feet of water - very dangerous place to come!  After being aground at the lowest of tides (the bow was still afloat) we made it out just  before dark at the fill.  I renamed this place Shipwreck City. Did I mention bird sized biting insects that are invisible?
Mazatlan - over 100 degrees - beautiful but HOT
We picked up a hitchiker in La Paz.  Yolann had a great attitude, a BA in biology, a heavy French accent, two years to roam about the globe, and the ability to make crepes underway.  She was loved by all.
How do you spell dinner?  Dorado!
Mazatlan - two pools, and a cave feature larger than the pool - after some hard sailing, this was included in our slip fee.  Swim under the waterfalls to a whole cave experience.  No rules - so much easier than California.
