The Galley Before
The teak is gleaming thanks to our fabulous painter!
A new Corian countertop and copper sink from Mexico has been installed.  The gimbled stove has a fold-up Corian work shelf over it and the area behind and around the stove is covered in sheeted stainless steel.   Above the island is the cupboard for the coffee maker and additonal storage. Under the counter across from the stove is the clothes washer/dryer. The gleaming  white and blue tile add the pop of color over the stove and make clean up a breeze.  The flowers were a gift from Marta and Wolfgang.  Marta passed away just a month later.

The Galley After !
There was even room to add a Splendide clothes washer. It's a problem with me - new port to explore and a crew with dirty laundry.  I refuse to spend my time on shore doing laundry.   I like clean sheets and clean clothes.  This piece of equipment is much used!  We opted for a non-vented one which I wouldn't do again.  It washes well, but the drying process is inadequate.
How do you spell U G L Y?  What a process to completely redo the galley!  With lots of conversation and a collaboration of ideas, Freedom's galley took shape and was to become, in my opinion, the most awesome galley I've ever seen on a Formosa!
